Accommodations

The layout of this beautiful boat is exceptionally functional and comfortable. The interior feels light, airy and spacious, for many good reasons:

  • Fifteen opening ports w/screens. All are stainless steel and have bug screens that have NEVER been used – still in the bag from IP!
  • Six deck hatches with Ocean Air® screens and shades.
  • Four Dorade style vents w/screens and plugs.
  • Raised main saloon with over seven feet of headroom and panoramic view.
  • Abundant lighting throughout, including recessed lights and well-placed halogen reading lamps with dimmer switches.

The two cabin, two head accommodations are perfect for a couple, two couples, or a family.  Both the master stateroom aft and guest stateroom forward feature comfortable large, island berths and heads with separate shower stalls. The roomy salon is open, inviting and versatile, with large side and forward facing windows and overhead hatches, settees to port and starboard, and a bulkhead mounted table. The port settee converts into a double berth while the starboard settee can be used as a single berth. The galley is fully appointed and takes advantage of some of the space under the cockpit and companionway to double the counter and storage space.  The deluxe nav station, conveniently located adjacent to the companionway, puts you in a position of total control with its plush high backed swivel chair, an inlaid chart table with storage tray, cabinetry space sufficient to mount a wide variety of electronic equipment and access to the electrical panels for shipboard AC and DC equipment.

The engine received proactive maintenance by an IP Dealer in 2010:  Gaskets replaced, compression checked, oil cooler cleaned, water pump overhauled, heat exchanger cleaned, etc.

  • 75 HP Yanmar 4JH3TBE turbo diesel – 4 cylinder, fresh water cooled, rubber isolation mounts on reinforced fiberglass bed with integral oil pan, mechanical fuel pump, heavy duty, high output Balmar 110 amp alternator with Digital-Charge controller.
  • 3 Blade Fixed Prop.
  • Racor Fuel Filter with water separator, jacketed fuel lines with swedged and threaded ends, auxiliary electric fuel pump with momentary switch for bleeding lines, bronze engine intake strainer.
  • Extensive sound control and generous access to engine compartment with premium lead-lined insulating foam and gasketed access doors.
  • Excellent fuel consumption:  1/2 gal/hr @ 2500 RPM
  • Owner’s Remarks: The cruising range under auxiliary alone is over 2000 miles. Sea Candy can easily cross the Gulf of Mexico in a dead calm. And has done so, catching fish along the way!
